LEXINGTON, Ky. -- University of Kentucky men’s tennis head coach Dennis Emery, who recently completed his 30th season guiding the UK tennis program, announced his retirement from coaching on Monday; accepting a promotion as a special assistant to Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart.

NEW YORK  - Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner I'll Have Another was ailing well before he was retired from racing with a tendon injury the day ahead of his bid to win the Belmont Stakes and become the first Triple Crown champion in 34 years.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team has announced its non-conference schedule for the upcoming season.

The Wildcats will play exhibition games versus Northwood and Transylvania before opening the season November 9 against Maryland as part of the Barclays Center Classic. That game will be followed by another neutral-court matchup against Duke on November 13.

Kentucky takes on nine non-conference teams at Rupp Arena, five of which had losing records last season.
