Hoops Hysteria Taking Over Bluegrass

Lexington, KY – After a 25 year absence from the NCAA Tournament, the Morehead State Eagles have won the honor of a rematch with the number one seed Louisville Cardinals, after defeating Alabama State in the Play-In game in Dayton, Ohio.

Back in Lexington, the Kentucky Wildcats took advantage of a decided home-court advantage in cozy Memorial Coliseum for an opening round victory over UNLV in the National Invitation Tournament.

"Horse Capitol Of The World" Honors One Of Its Legends

Lexington, KY – March 17th is not only St. Patrick's Day, but it's also the birthday of a racing and breeding legend. A tribute to the great Thoroughbred stallion, named in honor of the city of his birth, was unveiled during a ceremony in downtown Lexington. Bryan Bartlett has the story.

UK Draws UNLV in Opening Round Game of N,I.T.

Lexington, KY – The Wildcats will play Nevada Las Vegas in the opening round of the N.I.T. The game will be played at Memorial Coliseum instead of Rupp Arena which is unavaiable. Tipoff is at 9:30 on Tuesday night.

KY Attorney General's Office Releases Opinion On Private Corporations And Open Records Requests

Frankfort, KY – James Adkins wanted copies of his cell phone records for January 2006. So, he made an Open Records Act request to AT&T Mobility, which responded, but to the wrong address.

Not hearing from the company, Adkins appealed to the attorney general's office. But the attorney general's office says AT&T was not even legally bound to respond to Adkins under the Open Records Act because the company is not a public agency.
