Kentucky public school students could see their school year shortened by up to 10 days under a proposal in the Kentucky House.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Kentucky Education Commissioner Terry Holliday is calling the next legislative session a “make or break year” for the state’s public school system.

“I think we’ve hit the wall for increasing student performance and without some reinvestment in public education I think kids are going to lose out.”

eTranscript Introduced To Help Ky. High School Seniors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Kentucky's high school seniors will soon be able to send electronic transcripts to the state's colleges by using a free process called Kentucky eTranscript.

Lt. Gov. Jerry Abramson said Monday that electronic transcripts will streamline the college admissions process. In some cases, he said, students will be able to complete the admissions process totally online.

Abramson announced the Kentucky eTranscript system during a news conference at Waggener High School in Louisville.
