Lexington, KY – Nearly 13-thousand people filed through the doors to view the collection of ancient artifacts. That's four times the total attendance of the art museum's last major exhibition.
Museum Director Kathy Walsh Piper says nearly half of those folks were visiting the museum for the first time. She says it sets the art museum up well to put on future large-scale shows. Museum officials are currently working on lining up a horse-related exhibition to coincide with next year's World Equestrian Games.
