UPDATE: Trinity Gay Funeral Saturday, 2 Of Alleged Assailants Bond Out, 4th Suspect Arrested

Visitation for Trinity Gay will be held this Saturday from 9:00 am until noon at Southland Christian Church on Harrodsburg Road and her funeral will immediately follow.

The 15-year old was shot and killed outside the Cook Out Restaurant in Lexington over the weekend. Trinity was a sophomore at Lafayette High School and rising track star on the school’s team.  She had aspirations of being a top sprinter like her father, Olympian Tyson Gay and to one day become a surgeon.

The Lexington Herald Leader is reporting that two of the three men charged with wanton endangerment in connection with the shooting death have been released from jail.

Major Jeff Carter with the Fayette County Jail tells the paper that 38 year old Chazerae Taylor and his 19 year old son D’markeo were released from jail Wednesday after each posted a $5,000 full cash bond.  On the same day the Taylors were released police announced the arrest of a fourth suspect, 20 year old Lamonte A. Williams, and charged him with wanton endangerment.

21 year old D’Vonta Middlebrooks, who’s also charged with possession of a handgun by a felon, remains behind bars.  His bond has been set at $12,500.

The Taylors and Middlebrooks have admitted to firing handguns multiple times early Sunday morning outside the Cook Out fast food restaurant on South Broadway where Trinity Gay was shot.

They will be back in court on October 25th.
