Lexington, KY – The Downtown Lexington Corporation is getting the party started a little early this year with tonight's return of Thursday Night Live in Cheapside Park.
"We are starting Central Bank Thursday Night Live a week earlier this year to coincide with our night sponsor, the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event. They're going on through the weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park, so that is why we are starting one week earlier", said Downtown Lexington Corporation spokesperson Laura Farnsworth.
Farnsworth says the DLC tries to present music of every type and taste throughout the event, which this year ends with a Halloween Party.
"Every week we have different bands from throughout Lexington, all different genres: rock, bluegrass, country, r & b. It's something different every week. Basically, it's an informal concert. Everybody just comes down to Cheapside Park. People bring chairs, blankets, families, dogs, and everybody just kind of has a good time."
