Saving Green By Going Green Theme Of Second Annual Sustainability Conference

Putting ideas into action will be a major theme during the second annual Bluegrass Forever Green Summit Wednesday at the Marriott Griffin Gate Hotel in Lexington.

Event organizer Bobby Clark says the meeting is open to anyone who wants to save money by going green especially City and County Planners and Commissioners City and County Parks & Recreation employees Greenspace and Parks Commissioners Conservation and Land Use Non-profit organizations Sustainability Coordinators and Directors in   Secondary (Green Schools) & Higher Education Bank and Finance Professionals Non-profit executives Faith Based Organization Representatives Sustainability Businesses and Consultants Solid Waste Professionals Water Conservation Supply Professionals Agriculture, Equine & Local Food Professionals Transportation Planners & Professionals Elected Officials Economic Development and Chamber of Commerce Professionals Business Representatives Energy Businesses and Professionals Landscape & Green Architects Construction Companies LEED Building Owners.

Clark says this year’s event includes a panel discussion featuring sustainability coordinators from area colleges and universities.  The summit is from 9:30 to 3:30.  There is a $25 registration fee which includes lunch.  Additional information is available here.
