LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team has announced its non-conference schedule for the upcoming season.
The Wildcats will play exhibition games versus Northwood and Transylvania before opening the season November 9 against Maryland as part of the Barclays Center Classic. That game will be followed by another neutral-court matchup against Duke on November 13.
Kentucky takes on nine non-conference teams at Rupp Arena, five of which had losing records last season.
Coach John Calipari will put his young team to the test on the road at Notre Dame and at the KFC Yum Center on December 29 to face the Louisville Cardinals.
SEC play gets under way on January 8th. That portion of the schedule will be released later.
