Kentucky QB Hartline Arrested

By Brenna Angel

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The starting quarterback for the University of Kentucky has been arrested. WUKY News has confirmed that Mike Hartline was arrested early Friday morning and taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.

He's charged with alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct, and failure to change address. Lexington Police took Hartline into custody around 3:30 a.m. after responding to a home on Crescent Avenue.

Local TV stations have video of Hartline walking out of the jail shortly after 6 a.m., hiding his face, and running to a nearby taxi. He did not respond to reporter questions.

University spokesman Tony Neely says UK Athletics is in the process of gathering information and will "address the situation at the appropriate time."

Hartline and the Wildcats went 6-6 in the regular season. UK is scheduled to play the University of Pittsburgh in the BBVA Compass Bowl on January 8th.
