Lexington, KY – They've been featured in Rolling Stone and on MTV, and groups like Switchfoot and Evanescence adore them. "To Write Love On Her Arms", a non-profit group that helps teens and young adults struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide, took its message of hope to students on the UK Campus Monday.

Jamie Tworkowski, the organization's founder, spoke to a packed UK Student Center Ballroom Monday night about the power of love and acceptance, especially in light of the recent spate of suicides due to bullying.

"It's so sad. I think it reminds you what's at stake. It reminds you how fragile life is. I think it reminds you that we forget the power of words, and hate and ignorance."

But Tworkowski says he's also glad to see such a big public backlash against the bullying.

I's been nea to see so many people push back at the bullying and say that it's unacceptable. And it's so terrible what it takes to get there, but I am thankful that people are responding."
