Lexington, KY – Proceeds from the event will go to the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Center to fund dental care due to oral trauma and neglect.
This is AAWD President Susanna Goggin's fourth year planning the event.
"I've heard it said before that men never worry about having any kind of violent act toward them from their partner although it does happen females are typically more targeted and as dental professionals I think we are typically independent women who can kind of stand on our own and so it's really important for us to help others who may not be in such a fortunate position."
Smiles for Life is Saturday from 11am to 1:30pm in the UK Student Center Grand Ballroom.
