When it's completed in February of 2017, the new Valvoline Global Headquarters will be more than 162,000 square feet and house roughly 600 employees.
Right now the company leases two office buildings near the site but that lease is set to expire in 16 months. Valvoline President Sam Mitchell calls the new facility a win-win for the company and for Lexington.
The project comes with a $35 million dollar price tag and while Mitchell said there won't be any new jobs added to work in the building, the construction and growth potential will a add significant economic benefit locally and globally.
