Fans Will Need Patience On Game Days

UK Football fans should expect to arrive early to all Kentucky home games.

Lexington Police Chief Ronnie Bastin said game-goers need to remember two words…patience and flexibility.  Bastin said fans should expect numerous changes because of campus construction and renovations to Commonwealth Stadium.  And there will be a significant law enforcement presence in the neighborhoods surrounding UK’s campus before and after Saturday’s home game.  “I would remind you to park legally.  Parking on lawns is not something we can do and we’ll be enforcing that.  Any celebrations that occur in surrounding neighborhoods, we’re going to be around.  We’re going to be monitoring those.  We hope you’ll have a good time but do it safely and responsibly and be a good neighbor.  That’s what we’re going to be there to ensure.  Count on us being there, we’ll be part of the party if you have one.  But our goal is to make sure everyone has a safe environment.”
