Electricity Back On For Lexington's City Hall

It should be business as usual tomorrow at the Government Center in downtown Lexington.

Geoff Reed, the city’s Commissioner of General Services tells WUKY that new wiring has been installed and is now working. “The electricity is on and the heat is pumping.”

A fire in a garage adjacent to the Government Center late Sunday night knocked out electricity and sent smoke billowing into the building. Employees who work there have been told to stay home and meetings scheduled in the center have been canceled since Monday.
