An indoor ban on electronic cigarettes was introduced at the Thursday meeting of the Lexington Urban County Council.
Similar to the city’s smoke-free ordinance, it would ban the use of e-cigs and similar nicotine delivery systems at the workplace and within public buildings. Although the measure faced some resistance in committee from "vaping shop" owners and e-cig users earlier this month, there was no opposition among the full council. Since the council will be out for two weeks, the measure will measure will face a second reading and vote in mid-November.
