Defendant Is Music To Judge's Ears

A Kentucky man gets charges against him dropped with a guitar and a song.

Earlier this summer, Robert Lynch was standing outside a Family Dollar store in Madison County when a woman asked him to sing for her.  He obliged but by the time he finished the first few notes, Lynch was being handed a ticket and cited for trespassing.

When he appeared for a hearing on the matter, Court Deputy Russell Glover said a women yelled out “Judge, he’s really good!”  So Judge Earl-Ray set a date for Lynch to come back with his guitar.  On Tuesday, Lynch complied and the Judge offered his ruling.  “So he’s gonna play for us and if the prosecutor says he’s good we’ll wanna dismiss the case.”

Judge Earl-Ray even told everyone they could take out their cell phones, which aren’t usually allowed in court, and the moment was forever captured.  Lynch broke into his country version of ‘I saw the light’ and it was immediately clear, he had talent.  The prosecutor agreed that Lynch was good and by Judge’s orders dropped the case.
