LEXINGTON, Ky. – The biggest name in Kentucky sports is coming to the aid of the biggest sporting event in Kentucky. John Calipari has been named the charter member of the Commonwealth Club, a luxury ticket package now available for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.
When Alltech President Dr. Pearse Lyons approached him about the idea, Coach Cal says he was happy to help.
"I know whatever he's putting together is going to be big. Now big to you and big to me, and big to him probably are different. I have a lot of faith in what he's doing, I'm going to get involved, I want to be involved, I want to help. Let's have some fun with this."
Calipari was the first to purchase the $10-thousand Commonwealth Club ticket package. He's also been promoting the games via his Twitter and Facebook accounts.
