Clients Of Missing Lawyer Work To Restore Disability Benefits

Public meetings are being held today for the more than 900 victims of the disability scheme run by former attorney Eric C. Conn. They lost their Social Security Disability benefits when the feds uncovered the scheme.

Conn pleaded guilty to paying off judges and doctors so that his clients would be sure to qualify for their benefits and was fitted with an ankle monitor until his sentencing. He cut off his ankle monitor just days before heading back to court and has been missing ever since.

Today’s public forum in Floyd County will answer questions about the $31 million class action judgment ruling in favor of Conn's clients as well as how they can get their disability benefits back. Meeting times are Thursday at 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

A hearing in the class action lawsuit will be held tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. in Floyd County.
