A student was arrested Thursday after police say he doused his roommate's clothes and furniture with gasoline inside their fraternity house.
According to court documents, 21-year old David Lawrence got into a fight with his roommate in their dorm room on the University of Kentucky campus. Police said two other people in the room separated Lawrence and the roommate and that's when he grabbed a container of gasoline and poured it on his roommate's clothes, bed, couch and other items.
Police say the fumes were so intense; they could have easily sparked a fire that would have spread quickly through the building. Lawrence is charged with wanton endangerment. Police said Lawrence, who is a student at Bluegrass Community and Technical College, admitted he had been drinking at the time.
