LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The season opening concert by the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra may not go on as planned this Friday night. Musician members on Thursday voted to hold open the option of striking the performance.
The Lexington Herald Leader reports the musicians are upset that they have not been able to come to terms with management on a new contract.
Committee Chair Dave Shelton told the paper that there is "great solidarity among our ranks."
At the same meeting the group cast a vote of no-confidence in music director Scott Terrell.
