Calipari Coach Of The Year In SEC, Anthony Davis Voted Conference's Best Player

Kentucky Coach John Calipari and Freshman Anthony Davis Won Coach of the Year and Player of the Year Honors in the Southeastern Conference

Kentucky Coach John Calipari has been voted the SEC Coach of the Year after leading the Wildcats to a 30 and 1 record; 16 -0 in the Southeastern Conference.  Freshman big man Anthony Davis was voted the league's best player.  Davis also took home top freshman and defensive player of the year honors.

Jockey Club Website to Show Horse Injuries

NEW YORK - A new website created by The Jockey Club allows racetracks to publish their statistics on injuries or fatalities to horses.

The website, announced Monday, will include statistics from 15 North American tracks, including New York's three major tracks and two of California's three biggest tracks, along with Keeneland in Kentucky.

Number One UK Stays Perfect In SEC

GAINESVILLE, Fla.   Top-ranked Kentucky is perfect again in the Southeastern Conference.  Freshman Anthony Davis had 22 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks, Terrence Jones added 19 points and the Wildcats capped a perfect season in league play with a 74-59 victory over No. 16 Florida on Sunday.

Miller Leads UK Over Georgia in Senior Night Win

LEXINGTON, Ky.  Darius Miller hit five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points, and Kentucky beat Georgia 79-49 on Thursday night to extend the nation's longest home winning streak to 52 games.

"We all had it going. We all had a lot of fun tonight," Miller said. "I think that's how it should be in our last home game."

Kentucky (29-1, 15-0 Southeastern Conference) made an emphatic statement in its final game at Rupp Arena this season with an offensive flurry that nearly equaled the furious defensive effort the Wildcats have given all season.

UK Linebacker Ridge Wilson Dismissed From Team Following Drug Arrest

LEXINGTON, Ky. - University of Kentucky junior linebacker Ridge Wilson has been dismissed from the team following a drug trafficking arrest in Louisville early Sunday morning.

According to a police citation, officers arrested Wilson after finding him parked early Sunday morning on the side of a downtown street in a known drug trafficking area.

Wildcats Hold On To Top Spot In AP Poll

Kentucky and Syracuse are the top two teams in The Associated Press' Top 25 for a fifth straight week, while Kansas moves up to a season-high No. 3.

Kentucky received 63 first-place votes from the 65-member national media panel Monday with Syracuse getting the other two.

The Wildcats defeated Vanderbilt on Saturday 73 to 64, while the Orange clipped the Connecticut Huskies by a basket in a Big East showdown over the weekend.
