I'll Have Another Rallies To Win Kentucky Derby

LOUISVILLE, Ky.  -- I'll Have Another looked like just another horse at the Kentucky Derby.

Until the final furlong, that is.

That's when the chestnut colt - sold for a paltry $11,000, ridden by a rookie jockey hardly anyone knew and stuck in an outside post - blazed past highly regarded Bodemeister to win by 1 1-2 lengths on Saturday, beating one of the deepest fields in years.

UK Championship Trophy Continues Making the Rounds

LEXINGTON, Ky. - It may not be the most stunning trophy in the sports world, but the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team isn’t shy about showing off its national championship trophy.

Over the past month the wood and gold-plated trophy has been kissed by the players, sat in the Cincinnati Reds dugout, and this week a Lexington baker even made a cake that looks like the trophy. It's made stops across the state from Ashland to Paducah.

William Fox-Pitt Wins His Second Rolex

LEXINGTON, Ky. - It was an exciting finale to the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event on Sunday afternoon with the winner being decided only when the very last horse, Parklane Hawk,  had cleared the final show-jump in the Rolex Arena. Briton William Fox-Pitt, a winner in 2010 on Cool Mountain, climbed from second place after the dressage phase on Friday afternoon to lead after cross country with one of only seven faultless rounds over Derek Di Grazia's course on Saturday riding Catherine Witt's New Zealand bred ex-racehorse.
