WUKY Welcomes New Shows

WUKY WELCOMES NEW PROGRAMS IN SPITE OF STATE AND UNIVERSITY BUDGET CUTS

You'll soon hear some new voices during your WUKY weekend listening. State and university budget cuts, coupled with revenue shortfalls, made it necessary to evaluate our program costs and schedule. While safeguarding our core services (NPR news, local news, Rock & Roots music), it was decided that it was not fiscally responsible to pay the cost of membership dues to three networks.

Support Two Great Causes At Once During WUKY's Summer Pledge Drive

WUKY has forged an incredi-ble partnership with Central Kentucky's IncrediPet and Woodford Humane Society.  During this week long drive (June 2 - 6), IncrediPet has graciously offered to provide Woodford Humane Society with $100 of much needed pet products for every $1,000 we raise.

We're also offering a pet membership for all of our listeners.

One Book One Bluegrass 2012

WUKY is sponsoring One Book One Bluegrass, a community reading program that encourages everyone in Central Kentucky to read and discuss the same book. This year's selection is A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson. One Book One Bluegrass is a collaboration between the public libraries in Anderson, Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Madison, Nicholas, Scott, and Woodford counties. Republican Presidential Debate

Oregon Public Broadcasting, The Oregon Republican Party, and The Washington Times will host a Republican presidential debate beginning at 9pm EDT/6pm PDT on Monday, March 19th.

The debate will be moderated by Ray Suarez of PBS’s Newshour and Washington Times Chief Political Correspondent Ralph Z. Hallow. After the debate, NPR will provide analysis.
