FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Kentucky officials are informing more than 1,000 Medicaid clients of a computer security breach that many have resulted in private information being released.
The Cabinet for Health and Family Services says an employee of a subcontractor responded to a telephone computer scam that allowed unauthorized remote access to a computer that contained information on Medicaid clients. The statement says there isn't any evidence that the Medicaid database was accessed.
