Hundreds Attend Annual Celebration Of Hope Cancer Survivors Day In Frankfort

Frankfort, KY – Dona Crowe of Louisville is a breast cancer survivor. It's been seven years since she was first diagnosed.

"When the diagnosis came, I thought there isn't anything I can do about it, except leave it in the Lord's hands and whatever comes, comes, and that's been my attitude all along," said Crowe.

"And what would be your advice to others out there who may just now be encountering it?" asked McVeigh.

City's First Taxi Stand Now Open

Lexington, KY – Lots of big cities have them, and now Lexington has one too: talking about taxi stands! The first of which opened for business last night. The idea has been talked about for a year and thanks to the full support of downtown organizations one has opened on West Upper between Main and Short. Renee Jackson with the Downtown Lexington Corporation believes the taxi stand will be an asset to the Lexington downtown scene.

Fayette County Man May Be First Local Case of Swine Flu

Lexington, KY – Health officials In Lexington says they are investigating a possible first case of Swine Flu in Central Kentucky. A Fayette County man, with a history of recent travel to another state by car. Health Department officials say the man has not been hospitalized and they will evaluate close contacts for illness and possible preventive treatment.
