Frankfort, KY – A six-member Kentucky State Police Trial Board has found Sgt. Corey Buckner guilty of four violations of KSP standards of conduct. Called into question were his honesty, conformance to law and responsibility as a ranking officer.

The trial board says the charges concerned misconduct involving officer training records at the Bowling Green post, where Buckner was assigned.

Frankfort, KY – During a National Governors Association meeting in Philadelphia, Governor Beshear invited President-elect Barack Obama to visit Kentucky. Beshear says Mr. Obama appears interested. "I particularly invited him to come around the celebration of the Lincoln Bicentennial. I said I thought that would be a wonderful time for him to come to Kentucky."

Lexington, KY – Some critics are charging the decision is just a politically expedient move on Obama's part to gain approval from Clinton supporters, but Carey Cavanaugh doesn't agree. Cavanaugh worked at the State Department for more than two decades before coming to UK and he knows from experience that Senator Clinton is well-suited for the job.

Louisville, KY – The mayor says the cuts will save the city about $3.4 million this

fiscal year. They include the elimination of repaving work

through June 30.

(we had planned to pave approximately 36 miles of roads and streets,

36 miles, just to put it in perspective, is about the distance

between here and shelbyville, but by delaying that repaving, we

will save approximately one point four million dollars).

Murray, KY – More than forty-percent of Americans are expected to purchase a computer or video game this year, and a majority of those purchases will be made around the holidays. Some parents may be concerned about the ratings on the video games they're buying. Conway's office encourages parents to check out the Entertainment Software Rating Board's website for a ratings summary before making a purchase. Lexington, Ky – Major Debra Ashcraft, with Lexington's Salvation Army says hundreds of volunteers will serve meals at the Army's headquarters on West Main Street beginning at noon.

The Lexington Rescue Mission hosts its 8th annual Thanksgiving Dinner at Broadway Christian Church on North Broadway beginning at 5.
Spokesperson Laura Connell says the mission served up 500 meals last Thanksgiving, and an even larger crowd is anticipated this year.
