Parking Authority Approves Modified Food Trucks Proposal

LEXINGTON, Ky. - A city ordinance that would allow an increased presence of food trucks in downtown Lexington has cleared a major hurdle, but not without some tweaking.  The Lexington Parking Authority board of commissioners voted today to accept a proposal that authorizes food trucks to operate during specified hours in certain designated areas for an initial six month trial period.

Documentary On Mary Todd Lincoln To Air Tonight On C-SPAN

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Mary Todd Lincoln will be the subject of a 90 minute documentary airing tonight on C-SPAN.  The film is part of a series examining the influence and image of America’s First Ladies.  Mrs. Lincoln’s childhood home and other Lexington locales are featured prominently in the film according to Mary Todd Lincoln House Executive Director Gwen Thompson.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The 2012 baseball post-season did not end well for the Cincinnati Reds as they fell to the eventual World Champs, the San Francisco Giants, in the National League Division Series.  But the setback didn’t dampen the spirits of hundreds of fans who crowded into the Lexington Center on Sunday for the club’s annual Winter Caravan.  

The event featured Reds broadcasters Jeff Brantley & Jim Kelch, third baseman Todd Frazier and top minor league prospect Billy Hamilton.
