Lawmakers To Receive Sexual Harassment Training

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- House lawmakers would have to undergo annual sexual harassment sensitivity training under a resolution approved Thursday, after three legislative staffers filed sexual harassment complaints with the Legislative Ethics Commission.

State Lawmaker Accused Of Sexual Harrassment

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Two Kentucky statehouse employees have filed ethics complaints against a House lawmaker, alleging a pattern of sexual harassment and assault.

In separate complaints, Cassaundra Cooper and Yolanda Costner allege that Rep. John Arnold inappropriately touched them and made lewd and vulgar comments in numerous incidents over several years.  

The complaints, filed Friday, were obtained by WFPL and the Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting.

Special Redistricting Session Starts Today

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Lawmakers are scheduled to convene Monday for a special legislative session to redraw boundaries around House and Senate districts.

Expected to last a week, the session is set to begin at noon EDT.

With federal judges watching over their shoulders, lawmakers have put together redistricting proposals that don't include any overt attempts at political one-upmanship.

Senate Republican Plan Pits No Incumbents Against Each Other

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Republican Senate President Robert Stivers has unveiled a legislative redistricting plan for members of his chamber that would pit no incumbents against each other in upcoming elections.

Stivers said Thursday he expects overwhelming support for the proposal when it's voted on during a special legislative session next week.

Governor Prepared for Special Session
