2 More Kentucky Churches To Drop Boy Scouts

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. -- Two more churches in central Kentucky say they are cutting ties with the Boy Scouts of America over the organization's decision to allow gay youth.

Pastors at Severns Valley Baptist Church in Elizabethtown and Rineyville Baptist Church told The News-Enterprise that they will not renew their charters with the Boy Scouts when the agreements expire later this year.

Berea To Enact Protections For Gay City Workers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Gay rights advocates have scored another victory in a small eastern Kentucky town as Berea prepares to expand anti-discrimination protections for city employees.

Berea Mayor Steve Connelly announced this week that he will sign an executive order banning discrimination based on actual or perceived sexual orientation in hiring, firing and benefits for city employees.
