Lexington, KY – It would probably be fair to say that politics runs through the veins of 6th Congressional District Congressman Ben Chandler. The grandson of two-time Kentucky Governor Happy Chandler has photographs of his congressional predecessors lining his Lexington office. Obama Effigy: Death Threat or Protest?

Richmond, KY – Leaders at the University of Kentucky, the city of Lexington and the state of Kentucky quickly condemned a hanging effigy of Barrack Obama as racist. But a quick look at online blogs show some people defending the effigy as legitimate political protest.
