Judd: Women Will Persevere In Fighting Sexual Harassment

Actress Ashley Judd, whose claims against a Hollywood mogul helped set off an avalanche of sexual harassment allegations, said Friday that the fight against sexual misconduct will be a "chaotic, messy" endeavor, but that women won't let potential public fatigue about the scandals slow the efforts.  Judd told an audience at the University of Kentucky, her alma mater, that the fight is about "ending impunity."

Judd 'Ready To Fight' Beside Grimes In Senate Race

FRANKFORT, Ky.  -- Actress Ashley Judd says she's "ready to fight" beside Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes, the Kentucky secretary of state who announced Monday that she would challenge Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell next year.

Judd, who had considered the race herself, showed her support for Grimes in a tweet Tuesday.

Judd wrote, "Even in thick woods outstanding news filters through. Thrilled for the people of KY & ready to fight beside"

FRANKFORT, Ky.- Actress Ashley Judd says she won't run for U.S. Senate in Kentucky against Republican Leader Mitch McConnell.

Judd made the announcement in a Twitter message late Wednesday afternoon.

Judd had hinted last week that she was nearing a decision about the race.

The former Kentucky resident now living in suburban Nashville, Tenn., has said little publicly about her intentions.

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Actress Ashley Judd gave a not-so-subtle hint on Friday that she's nearing a decision about seeking the Democratic nomination to run against Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell in Kentucky.

In a speech at an American Counseling Association meeting in Cincinnati, Judd said she once didn't like criticism, which she said is ironic because she's "about to get $40 million worth of it." WXIX-TV first reported Judd's comments Friday.
