LEXINGTON, Ky. - Andrew Nicholson of New Zealand was the big winner of the 2013 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event Sunday at the Kentucky Horse Park.  He did it aboard Quimbo, a Spanish-bred horse that wasn't quite good enough to show-jump.    Nicholson also finished third on English ex-racehorse Calico Joe.

Nicholson Now 1-2 On Final Day Of Rolex

LEXINGTON, Ky. - A superb effort by Andrew Nicholson aboard Quimbo and Calico Joe respectively has the New Zealander occupying the top two spots heading into the final day of the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Nicholson, a six-time Olympian, completed two flawless trips over the Cross Country course.  For anyone else to win, Nicholson would have to knock down two fences aboard both horses Sunday.  Considering he's currently the top rider in the world, such an outcome seems unlikely.
