Lexington, KY – Forecasters say there should be some snow on the ground Christmas morning in Kentucky, but the accumulations will be less than originally expected.
Louisville and Lexington are expected to get under two inches. National Weather Service meteorologist John Denman says the state's two largest cities may not even get an inch and northern Kentucky near Cincinnati may not get any snow.
Denman says snowfall is expected to begin late Friday night. Forecasters predict it will be heaviest along the Tennessee border, with one to three inches of accumulation.
But Denman says "there's some question whether even southern Kentucky will get it."
Earlier in the week the weather service had predicted two to four inches of snow in the Louisville area.
