Lexington, KY – Spotlight Lexington organizers say the festival will include a special Equine Parade, called "Celebrating the Equine Spirit". Festival organizers have also announced a line-up of local and regional acts which will perform in Cheapside Park. They include the Reel World String Band, the Big Maracas, the Swells, Superfecta, and Tee Dee Young. Spotlight Lexington gets under way September 24th; the eve of the World Equestrian Games.
Meanwhile, First Lady Jane Beshear and Alltech President and CEO Pearse Lyons kick off a three day barnstorming tour promoting the games on Wednesday. The itinerary includes stops in Charleston, West Virginia, Nashville & Knoxville, Tennessee, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Cincinnati, Ohio.
