Voter Fraud Hotline Rings Often This Election Day
By Kentucky Public Radio
Frankfort, KY – Because it's a presidential election and voters turned out in droves, the attorney general's office thought it might be a busy day on the voter fraud hotline. And it was, says Allison Martin of the AG's office. "We've had about 250 calls from across the commonwealth."
She says the complaints range from problems with electronic voting machines, to electioneering too close to the polls, to possible vote buying. "Not many. About five. Coming from Bell County, Warren County and Madison County. And we have about a dozen investigators who are out across the commonwealth today, in different regions and every region of the state."
Martin says every complaint received on the hotline will be thoroughly checked out. The hotline will remain active after the election, if something you witnessed is still bothering you. The number is 1-800-328-VOTE.
