LEXINGTON, Ky. – The search for the next University of Kentucky president may cost in the neighborhood of $100,000 to $200,000. That was the news from consultant Bill Shelton, who works with the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges and addressed the UK Board of Trustees on Sunday.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that Shelton also suggested that the board consider a much higher salary for Dr. Lee Todd's replacement, starting at around $700,000. With a retroactive pay raise awarded last month, Todd's salary is $511,000 dollars.
