A youth development center left badly damaged by a 2012 tornado in eastern Kentucky has been rebuilt.
State and local officials gathered for a ceremony Wednesday at the Woodsbend Youth Development Center in Morgan County.
The center houses at-risk youth. It had to be evacuated after the tornado touched down on March 2, 2012.
Woodsbend officials have rebuilt a three-bay storage area and constructed a new administration building, educational workshops, conference room and classrooms. State juvenile justice officials say the project totaled more than $1.6 million and was completed in phases over the past two years.
