Saving "Civil War" Stories Limited Summertime Series

Lexington, KY – This summer, Dr. Doug Boyd from the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History in the UK Libraries, chats with Alan Lytle about a series of vignettes for the summer we are calling "Saving Civil War Stories". All of the reports will feature the aspect of oral tradition that has come to characterize our perceptions of the Civil War.

In this first episode, we hear a Civil War story re-told by former U-S Vice President, and prominent Kentuckian, Alben Barkley.
