Saturday Marks Tragic Anniversary In Lexington

Saturday August 27th marks the ten year anniversary of the crash of Comair 5191.  There were 47 passengers on board and three crew members. All but one perished when the pilots tried to take off from the wrong runway at Lexington's Bluegrass Airport and crashed in a neighboring field.  Karyn Czar looks back at the events of that day, the actions of the first responders and the stories of victims’ families left behind.

A public service will be held at the memorial site at the UK Arboretum at 10:00 am Saturday morning.  Seats will be available for families and invited guests; you are allowed to bring a lawn chair to the site for the service.
