A retired U.S Ambassador says if President Trump goes through with rumored 37% budget cuts to the State Department and the U.S. Agency For International Development, that would be a mistake.

Carey Cavanaugh, professor of diplomacy and conflict resolution in UK’s Patterson School says cutting the funding so drastically would reduce the President’s diplomatic tool kit to a “box of hammers.”
