Public To Weigh In On Proposed Lextran Changes
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Lextran is considering changes to its bus schedule on weekends and on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, the two jobs bus routes that are used by night shift workers, and its schedule for the Southland BCTC and Centre Parkway Connector Routes.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports Lextran's staff has recommended that on Saturdays, all routes would run at 70-minute intervals, instead of the current 35-minute intervals.
The bus service has scheduled three public meetings to discuss the potential changes, which the company says will improve efficiency. The meetings will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Lexington Public Library's Eagle Creek Branch, Noon Tuesday and 6 p.m. July 15 at the Central Library.
