Public Asked To Give Input For Superintendent Search

Fayette County Schools is using outside resources as well as input from the community and city leaders to help secure the best candidate to head the district.

Stephan Knoblach is leading the research team from K-12 Insight, the company hired to aid in the search.  “We are conducting all of the community forum input sessions to help create the superintendent profile as well as doing the online survey.  So we’ll gather all the information from the stakeholder groups, employees, students, community members and then we will draft the profile that we will give to the school board and then the search firm will take that profile and identify candidates that fit that profile.”

Knoblach heard from several Urban County Council Members and Lexington Mayor Jim Gray about their vision for the direction of Fayette County Public Schools.  K-12 Insight will be holding public input forums throughout the week.  You can log on to wuky.org for a listing of dates, times and locations of those events.
