LEXINGTON, Ky. -- – A proposed pharmacy in downtown Lexington is getting a redesign. The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that Louisville developer Gary Joy has agreed to make architectural changes to a CVS pharmacy planned at the intersection of Main and Vine streets.

Calls for a less suburban, "big-box" look to the design were made by Lexington's planning staff and the local group Progress Lex. Gary Joy says he's asked his architect to change the design to one brick color and make the entrance three dimensional rather than flat.

Construction of the pharmacy could begin in September.
