Pancreatic Cancer Vigil to be Held Sunday
The Lexington Branch of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will hold a vigil at the Tempur Sealy Headquarters this Sunday.
At PurpleLight Lexington, participants will raise violet glow sticks in memory of their departed loved ones and those still struggling.
Approximately 45,000 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year, with 73% of patients dying within one year. Since treatment is limited, the Network hopes events like this can raise awareness of the disease. The Tempur Sealy Headquarters will also be lit purple for the entire month of November.
The event begins at 5:30 PM on 1000 Tempur Way. Additional information is available at purplelight.org.
