Lexington, KY – A new transportation service that caters to seniors and the visually impaired is now up and running in Fayette County. Monday morning at Lexington Green, Vice Mayor Jim Gray helped cut the ribbon and provided the inaugural ride for I-T-N of the Bluegrass. Spokesperson Gale Reece says the Independent Transportation Network addresses a growing need in the community.

I-T-N works like a taxi service.
Reece says members pay a one time annual fee of 50 dollars and establish a transportation account. Customers can then use it like a taxi service. When a ride is ordered, the account is debited three dollars, plus a charge of a dollar eighty per mile. Additional information is available at I-T-N Bluegrass dot org.
