This Sunday, if someone tells you downtown Lexington is dead, it’ll be a compliment.
The city’s annual Thriller Parade gets underway this weekend with a host of related events.
Rated a Top 10 national Halloween destination by USA Today, Lexington’s homage to the iconic 1983 Michael Jackson video enters its 13th year in 2014. And the crowd continues to grow with each new iteration.
This time, the frights kick off at 6:30 with a dance showcase, fall-themed food, and other festivities at the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse. Following a Halloween parade, the undead dancers make their way through downtown starting at Quality and Main at 8:30.
Like performances in recent years, multiple King of Pop impersonators and groups of zombie dancers will take to the streets as more than 15,000 onlookers are expected to lurk in the dark.
