Yesterday it was Alison Lundergan Grimes hitting the airwaves with a new campaign ad. Today her opponent Mitch McConnell followed suit.
Alison Lundergan Grimes’ latest ad attacked U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s voting record on Medicare. It featured a retired coal miner Don Disney asking McConnell why he and his wife would have to pay six thousand dollars more per year for medical care. The senior senator responded with this commercial.
Grimes’ camp fired back on social media with the headline Don Disney won’t be bullied followed by a retweet of Disney’s response that read “Today, I stood up to Mitch McConnell and asked him to explain his vote to increase health care costs for all Kentucky seniors. His response? To attack.”
