U-S Sen. Mitch McConnell campaigned in coal country Thursday covering the same ground where former Pres. Clinton assailed the incumbent Republican the day before.
McConnell told supporters in Corbin and Hazard that eastern Kentucky is an odd place for the ex-President to be stumping for Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes.
McConnell says Clinton has been a big supporter of new carbon emission regulations pushed by President Obama’s administration. The senator says those rules have devastated the coal industry.
