Mayor Gray Tabs Former Assistant Chief Lawrence Weathers To Head Police Force

Lexington Mayor Jim Gray has announced a successor to Police Chief Mark Barnard.  At a press conference this morning he tabbed former assistant chief Lawrence Weathers for the post.  Weathers retired from the force in 2016 following a 27 year career. Most recently he served as director of law enforcement for Fayette County Public Schools.
