Police have released the name of a man accused of stabbing his father at a church service in Bowling Green.
21-year-old Ethan Buckley is in the Warren County Regional Jail, charged with assault. Bowling Green Police say Buckley stabbed his father just before alter call during the 11:00 am Sunday service at Hillvue Heights Baptist Church. Witnesses say an associate pastor tackled Buckley. Buckley’s father was taken to the hospital and his current condition is unknown. No one else was injured.
The father and son filled out a first time visitor card when they arrived at the church Sunday morning and said they were from Arkansas. A car that was towed from the church parking lot had Davidson County, Tennessee plates.
Ethan Buckley will be arraigned this morning at 9:00.
